There are different ways to get to Bormio.
Bormio is located in the heart of the Italian Alps, on the border with Switzerland. It is approximately 200km from Milan, 240 km from Zurich (CH) and 130 km from Bolzano. BY PLANE: Here are some solutions to get to Bormio by airplane and transfer.
The closest airports are Milano Linate (approximately 200km – 3h), Milano Malpensa (approximately 250km – 3,5h) and Bergamo Orio al Serio (approximately 190km – 3h).
Zurich airport is about 250km from Bormio.

BY TRAIN OR BUS:
There are different options to get to Bormio by train.
There are trains on a daily basis from Milan Central station and the journey is about 2,30 hours. Moreover, you can take advantage of the benefits of the “Io viaggio in Lombardia” ticket. For more information you can visit: www.trenord.it / www.trasporti.regione.lombardia.it

Coming from the north of Europe
There is public transportation from Switzerland to Livigno and other that connect Livigno to Bormio.
Here you can find the Raethian Railway timetable for trains connecting Bormio to Zurich and stopping at Zernez. (Tel: +41 (0)81 2886565 – www.rhb.ch). From there you can continue on a bus to Livigno; (tel: +39 0342 996283 – www.silvestribus.it). Finally another bus will take to Bormio in about an hour. (Tel. +39 0342 905090).
